Supporting People in Respite and Lifestyle (Spiral) is a not for profit disability service provider based at Nambour. Spiral was established in 1981 – the International Year of the Disabled Person.

What we do

Spiral is a not-for-profit organisation providing service to empower potential and equality through growth, innovation and community support.

Spiral supports individuals who are eligible for Government funded services in parts of the Sunshine Coast Council region. We provide:

  • individual social support
  • in home respite
  • small group community engagement focusing on skill development and vocational opportunities

We are a person centred organisation, with a strong focus on:

  • the principles of Social Role Valorisation (SRV)
  • developing an individual’s potential and a strong natural network of support, outside of funded support

Spiral works collaboratively with the individual, their families, advocates and other service providers to be part of an innovative and creative support circle.

Spiral also collaborates with other service providers and community organisations in the Sunshine Coast Council region, with further links to advocacy and support organisations, both State and nationwide.
